Obedience training

A puppy needs to be trained and raised in an efficient way, to be a raised as a responsible canine citizen. There are a few basic training steps, in a fun way to present things to your puppy, to keep things game to him. The sessions have to be kept short and stimulating enough, by constantly changing what he is learning. Each command has to be practiced about 5-6 minutes, and then repeated way later.

Your puppy reacts to love and affection, when it is set to be on course to rewards for good behavior. Your trick training course should always have end number of treats inserted in it.

Table Manners

Table manners are something your puppy needs to learn from the scratch. The needs of your puppy will grow as and an he learns to assert himself to the changing situations. Mealtimes are often battle times to puppies. It is up to you to assert him, that you are not ready to give in to his every whim and fantasy.

Train him into child behavior. He needs to know that not every move made by a kid is harmful. In fact he actually has to learn to be consistent to a child's behavior, as it will cause him no harm.

Roll a toy towards him, during the meal, and then drop in a treat. Gently bump into him while eating and then drop into a treat. Practice these sometimes, not at every meal, and stop whenever you notice inappropriate behavior. Inappropriate behavior can also come in terms of growling or staring.

Tips

  1. Have consistence. The Same rules and words at all times from all members.
  2. Be concise. Do not repeat the commands, and make him obey at just the first chance. If you keep repeating commands, it will seem to him, that you just do not care if he obeys or not.
  3. Generosity pays. Give him a treat, praise or ear massage, every time he gets something done right. This is to let him know, that this behavior is right and is being encouraged.
  4. Do not give a command that you are not sure your dog understands, or you can deliver correctly. Make sure that every command comes at the right point where he can judge it himself.
  5. Have all measures ready. Keep a leash handy, if you really want your dog to obey your commands. For every time he tries to look over it you can tell him that the end results will not be good.
  6. Let him know, by your smile that you are happy with him. This will encourage him to keep his behavior upfront.
