Could My Dear Dog Find The Way Home

When I lived with my grandparents, I had raised a dog called Black. Its name resulted from its dark and bright furs and eyes, which were just like black pearls. It was the first time I raising dog and I thought I would treat it as my good friend.

In fact, it was very young when it was sent to my grandparents’ home. It was just born and taken from its mother. So, when it arrived at the home, it could not adapt to the new environment and often whined because of leaving mother. I really thought it was almost the same to me. I often poured the milk grandparents gave me to the bowl of Black and hoped it could grow up quickly. Black was very cute. It liked to shake its tail when it felt happy, while the tail would be down when it feel depressed. So I could know its emotion from its tail.

As the time passed by, Black was two years old and I was also attending junior high school. Every morning, I rode bike to go to school, I could find Black running after my bike. When I arrived at school, it would go back home and wait for me. At that time, I almost thought I could live with Black forever. However, God played a joke with me.

As a typical traditional village, our village have temple fair every year to honor the spirit in the temple. Various vendors, snack sellers and circus troup all gathered on the street to celebrate the three days. I am always so happy about that holiday, because I could eat many delicious foods, buy novel goods and enjoy excellent circus troup performance on these days. But on the temple fair that year, I lost my dear friend Black.

I could remember clearly that I visited the temple fair with Black. It always followed me just as before. I did not even care about it because I knew Black would follow me. When I had fun and decided to go home, I could not find Black. Where did it go? Did anything happen to it? I was so worried and went back home in hurry. Grandma asked me what happened, but I said no word with my tears falling. Black did not come back home. Did it be trapped by troubles or could not find the way home? Grandma said that it would come back home as the temple fair finished.

So, I waited and waited. Three days of temple fair had passed and there was still no news about Black. It disappeared just as it had not appeared in my life. I missed it days after days I also regret why I couldn’t pay more attention to it.

Every time I saw others walk in the park with a dog following them, I could not help thinking of my dear friend Black, its black furs, black eyes and the loyal figure. Now, grandparents raise a new white dog, which is also cute and clever, but I still miss my first dog friend.
