Why Dog Training Videos Work

Dog training videos/DVDs/books, a course of dog training classes or if you can afford between $60-$100 dollars an hour, you can engage the services of a personal professional dog trainer. These are the varied options available for training your dog.

I had already ruled out the last option due to cost - if I had the money I would have chosen ten sessions with Cesar Milan, the Dog Whisperer, although I probably would have had to wait behind all the celebrities queueing to have their pooches trained with Cesar!

I would have liked as a first choice to buy all the Cesar Milan dog training videos, or sign up for his online training sessions which work with audio books and DVDs but just the collar you need for the training he teaches is $40 and then $26 per month for the online sessions or buying 6-8 dog training videos at around $15 each, so all in all quite expensive running into over $140 or so but good value I think.

Dog training DVD courses have been proven to work better than just reading a book because you can actually observe the dog trainer in action, hearing how the voice is used to give commands and secondly seeing the body language which should be used. Your dog watches you all the time and listens second.

For those reasons I liked the idea of audio and video learning so I looked to see if I could find a similar course with dog training videos and audio but I wanted a course by a professional dog trainer and I wanted a non-violent method of training, no electric collars for my little westie dog.

I went online to read reviews on dog training DVD courses. Most reviews I came across were written by internet marketing gurus who had never been near a dog, pedaling ebooks with perhaps a 30 minute dog training DVD included for around $25 and they were not always written by a dog trainer! I wanted a proper course.

In the end, after a great deal of searching deep I found a dog training DVD course that fitted the bill from a personal recommendation, speaking to someone who had actually used it and trained her dog from watching the videos.

After checking out the dog trainer online I downloaded this Dog training DVD course. It is written by a long standing British professional dog trainer, has 21 DVDs, and over 5 hours of an audio book which is also supplied as an ebook to print and download. I also receive a newsletter regularly and can contact the trainer personally should I ever need. The videos are of the dog trainer with real dogs.
