I will repeat that. If you own a cat then you need a cat carrier! Taking your cat from one location to another in a properly sized and ventilated cat carrier provides safety for your cat, gives your cat a sense of security and well being, and provides you piece of mind.

Cat carriers are becoming more popular because more cat owners are coming to realize the importance of carrying their cats in cat carriers.

Have you ever had a scared cat in your arms? If you have you know they can become quite an arm full. Think of the same cat in your car if you are involved in an accident or something else scares your cat. Off it goes all over the car - maybe under the gas or brake pedal. Normally small and medium sized cats will do well in a soft nylon mesh carrier but if you have a big cat then you might seriously consider a hard plastic carrier. Generally the hard plastic carriers are easier to clean. If you are going to take your cat on an airplane check with the airline to see what type of cat carrier they require.

Cat carriers are designed in various hard plastic or soft-sided varieties and should be big enough and provide adequate ventilation. Cat carriers provide your cat with a safe, secure and familiar place when you travel, and can keep your curious cat out of trouble when need be. Traveling with your cat can be enjoyable but plan ahead and make sure you use a cat carrier.
