If your cat is having seizures, she could have feline epilepsy. Cats have been known to consume toxins like antifreeze, chocolate, or lead which can cause seizures. Systemic problems like liver or kidney disease, brain tumors, and infections may cause seizures. Finally, an injury to the brain or inadequate blood flow to the brain may be the culprit.

Feline epilepsy can cause three different types of seizures. Petit mal seizures are characterized by your cat moving its body uncontrollably and very typical blank stare that pet owners notice.
