Butterflies The Beautiful Insects

25 16:32:03

The colorful insects of butterflies are widely distributed in nature. They have four stages in their life cycles. The egg, the larva, the pupa and the adult are the four. Very often, they are useful insects as they help pollinate flowers of some plants. However, larvae of some species of these insects damage crops by feeding on them. Most butterflies have colorful wings and their flight is fluttering. Some of them migrate long distances.

The eggs of the butterfly are laid on the undersides of leaves. The eggs of butterflies are protected by a hard shell, and they are surrounded with wax in order to keep them moist. The female butterfly will use a sticky substance that helps the eggs to adhere to the underside of the leaf. Butterflies choose the plants that they will lay their eggs on depending on their species. After just a few weeks, the eggs are ready to hatch.

Larvae come out of the butterfly eggs. These are also known as caterpillars. The job of the caterpillar is to eat as much as it possibly can. This is because once it turns into a butterfly, it will concentrate on mating, and it will not eat during this time. Once the caterpillar has begun to grow legs and develop wings, it will then find a safe area to go through the pupa stage.

During the time that the caterpillar is going through the pupa stage, it goes through a lot of changes. This is when the wings of the butterfly will fully develop. However, the wings are packed tightly into the cocoon of the butterfly, and this prevents the adult from being able to fly when it first emerges.

When the butterfly comes out of the cocoon, it has to be careful. This is because this is the easiest time for them to be caught by predators because they are not able to fly. It takes between one and three hours for the wings to be able to dry out enough for the butterfly to be able to fly.

The colors that you see on the wings of the butterfly are made up of scales. It is possible for butterflies to be able to survive without the scales on their wings, but it makes it extremely difficult for the butterflies to fly. This is why many people will tell you that it is not a good idea to touch the wings of a butterfly. Different species of butterflies have different colored scales on their wings.
