Travelling with my dog

Question
I have a dog that is very hyper.  when I travel the vet has given me some
pills to make him sleepy.  I am traveling today and I can't find these
pills-is there some safe home thing I can give him to calm him down for
the trip??

I would never drug a dog or puppy to travel.  They settle down and it is best to let them be at themselves to hear and see the noise and surroundings.  Much healthier than drugging them to sleep or be half out.

this way when they are transferred to another plane it is not dramatic for them, they hear normally and see all things.  I personally would not give the dog a thing, just put in something of yours to make it feel like it is safe.
