Question
My dog, a 3 year old beagle, has food allergies and I have not been able
to track down a treat that she is not allergic to, that doesn't make her
skin itch.  Do you know of any treats that seem to be good for sensitive
skin for dogs?  The alternative is giving my dog benedryl, but it makes
her very sleepy and lazy.  I was wondering if the non-drowsy Claritin can
be used in dogs.

Answer

I would not give my dogs or pups anything without my vet advising it.  Even Benedryl that I know so well having allergeries myself.
I would never give Claritin or anything else.
Try some good old Doggie biscuits, nothing in them to make a dog itch.  Also, Pro Plan makes great doggie biscuits.
There are so many kinds of doggie treats out there in bag or box, i only use biscuits and Tartar small bone biscuits for their teeth.
I use a good supplement on my dogs, Fresh Factors that almost eliminates vet expense.  No itchy skin, super shiny coats, less shedding, good bones and joints, etc.  visit my site scroll down on the litter page and click on the site springtime and read about Fresh Factors, just what they do and I would bet your dog will do fine on these and eat anything.

Kind Regards
