flying with my cat

Question
I am taking my cat Violet with me to visit my parents for the summer. She is 6 months old and I was told she is up to date on her shots when I adopted her 3 months ago. I bought her a ticket to ride in the cabin with me on the airplane and I am wondering what to do about a litter box. Obviously I cant put one in the soft-carrier with her... Will she be ok without a litter box for 7 hours? What about feeding before/during the trip? (it's two 3 hours flights with a 1 hour layover between) I'm a first time cat owner (and loveing it!) so any info or tips about what I need to have with me or what to expect on the airplane would be much apprechiated. (she is a very loveing, bold, easy-going, laid back little cat but does get a little fidgety sometimes)Thanks!

Answer
Hi Lisa
I feel she will be ok but if u have a stop over u might want to put a collar and leash on her now and teach her to walk on it for potty.  I always house broke and leash trained our cat pets when my kids were home.
I even tied a cat out so it would not roam it loved it so try that and take a bottle of your water or spring water and small dish for it to drink.  I would not worry about food till you get to your parents, it can catch up there.
Tkae a small towel in your purse, water, dish and u will need a ten day health certificate I always do on my pups?
This also proves it has shots to date, u had better call the airlines back and ask as I always have to run my pups to the vet for a ten day health certificate to flight.

Kind Regards
Patt
