QuestionI plan to travel to Africa from the USA in the near future for an extended stay. I could travel by plane but my partner must travel by ship for health reasons. I plan to travel with two housebroken siamese cats. I prefer not to have them in crates in the hold. What can you tell me about availability and/or restrictions.
AnswerHi Bev
U might need to restrict to the room or sleeping quarters u are asigned to. They will not want cats wondering about the ship. I am certain of this and shots update, rabie, health certificate good for ten days from your vet to board.
Truthfully I am not so familar with ship travels but I would assume the same apply as for flighting. Shots to date, ten day healthy certificate on boarding from a vet and have a cat carrier to board. After that I am most loss on ships as I never had the experience of this but just guessing the cats might live quite a nice life on them or be confined to their crates also.?
When u book a flight or trip always ask about the pet standards and u could teach me alot also. I know how to import dogs and pups into Pittsburgh, Pa International Airport but beyond that ask when u book the procedures of.
Kind Regards and much luck
