NZ to US to NZ

Question
Hi,
We are planning on buying a RV and spending our winters in the US. We have a miniature schnauzer Della who is micro chipped, vaccinated etc I believe that as long as we are not out of NZ for more than 6 months we will have no quarantine on return and as long as we have the required tests and jabs no quarantine in the US.
Can you give me info please.
