Question
Hi Jerry,

I have never asked you a question before so your reply, "I'm sorry, I can't answer your followup question, but I can only answer one or two followups per questioner. I hope you understand." doesn't make sense.

My question is below:

Hi Jerry, I am thinking about moving to Hawaii and one of the logistical challenges I have is with my pets. I have 7! I have 3 dogs and 4 cats - one of the dogs is large. I am not excited about the idea of flying them to Hawaii, not only because of the cost, but also because it is a very long flight and I am concerned for their well being. Not only can I imagine them scared half to death, having nowhere to do their thing, and starving to death, but I am also concerned about a mistake being made of them being put in the non-heated hold. I have heard horror stories of dead pets arriving at the location. I would rather not move than take that chance. That said, I am wondering if there is a boat service that we can all take together? A cabin of some sort where they can be free from a cage and spend time with me as we float to our destination? It would probably be less expensive to rent a cabin and make a zoo out of it than try to pay for 7 animal airline tickets anyway. Is there such a thing?

Thanks for your help!

Answer
Dear Debbie
Sorry for all the confusion!
I pushed a given key for response and never did see what automatic
response All Experts sent.
All of us pet shippers constantly hear about all the horror stories,
but, no one can ever document these!!  They do NOT exists.  I am
sorry, but guess we just get tired of hearing these!!
Please, search  Air Travel Consumer Report on the internet.
Then, search: Airline Animal Incident Reports...... This should put
your mind at ease.  With THOUSANDS of pets flying every day, there
are 3 or 4 incidents per month.  Read the reasons for these incidents.
Pets adjust just fine after they are away from their parents!!
Airlines do NOT put pets into unheated areas of the planes.  This is
ridiculous!
There are NO boats available for this purpose.  The days of
transoceanic transportation are gone.  Only the Queens going to UK
You should be able to take ALL the pets to Hawaii as excess baggage
by air.  This would be a fraction of the cost of a ship!
Starving to death?  Give me a break!!!  No place to do their thing?
Give me another break!!!  Pets should NOT be fed for several hours
prior to travel.... Period!!! Exercise WELL just before travel.
They will NOT feel the need to do their thing!!!!
You have NOT indicated where this trip would begin?  Nor, have you
given me any idea as to exact size of pets, other than one is large.
I am sorry if this has been a bit sharp!!  Just get so tired hearing
about horror stories that do NOT exist.... I realize this is just
the first time for you, so I must remember this.
I have been doing this for 35 yrs so I know something about what I
speak.
Feel free to call me at: 888.234.5028   Maybe a phone conversation
can be more soothing???
