Question
hello.  we are considering some winter travel.  previously we have travelled with my dog in mexico (coming from the u.s.) with no problems.  what differences should i expect if we decide to travel to central america; honduras, guatamala, nicaragua, etc.  also, what are the stipulations for pets between cuba and the u.s.?  are there timelines that pets may be in certain countries?, are we more likely to encounter problems when returning from the u.s. if we are coming from certain countries, etc.  any help you have to offer is appreciated!

Answer
Hi there,

I have many clients that go to Central America.  Every country requires different documents to enter.  We work with air travel and assist our clients flying in and through customs.

It sounds like you are driving.  In this case, you will have to speak with each countries Animal Import Department.  Most of this should be able to be found on line.  And through the various countries consulate.

Happy Travels,
