moving with cats

Question
Hi, I am considering moving from East Coast to the west coast for a job. I have one leukemia cat at home and two former ferals at work. Two are a little timid around people and one is totally deathly afraid of anyone else and has panic attacks and hides (acts like a feral cat).  I am considering driving across the country with them and have been looking up info. Do you think I am crazy to think I could make a 3,000 mile trip? I would consider flying them in the cabin of a plane, but I am not sure how they would act and if I could take 3 on a plane. Any advice? Thanks, Cindy

Answer
Hello,

That is a tough one for sure.  Driving 3000 miles with cats is difficult!  Hotel and kitty boxes and the worry of someone escaping along the way would deter me.

I think it is 1 pet per person in the cabin.  If they are not talkative perhaps you should check with your airline to see how many you could get on 1 flight.

Happy travels,
