Taking my Lab to Italy via London

I am planning on flying from lax to london on Virgin..then to Italy where we recently purchased a house i will be there until October. I do not know where to start or what to do.  Can you help!  Thanks  Kim  and Bella

Why are you going thru UK to Italy?  Pets MUST travel all the way
as cargo, which will be MUCH more expensive and complicated.
Going directly to continent, you can take pets as excess baggage.
Much better option.
