pet travel south africa to USA

We wish to take our retriever from UK to South Africa (approx) 1 year and then onwards to USA (Miami).  Are there any restrictions in doing so.  Our Dog has a full PET passport

Answer
For entry into So Africa requires import permit and a So Afr
health cert with blood tests for 4 or 5 diseases.
No quarantine.  Entry into USA is very easy.  Health cert and rabies
vac.  The pet passport will only be of value for re-entry into UK
