selling docked tail dog to Switzerland

Question
Hi,

I have sold an Australian Shepherd to a lady in Swizerland.  I am in the US.  The dog's tail is docked, which is prohibited in Switzerland but the norm in US. The way I am understanding her, I need to get a statement from my vet that the dog's tail was docked due to an accident.  Can the dog be sold to Switzerland with a docked tail wihtout this statement?

Answer
This is the first time in 35 yrs I have heard this one!
Some countries such as UK does NOT allow the ears to be cropped or
tail docked on pets already in the UK.  Dogs go all the time to UK
in this condition.  I am sure many pets go to and thru Switzerland
like this.
You might try contacting the nearest Swiss consulate.  Also, contact
your nearest usda office.
If worse comes to worse, just get a statement from your vet.
It's not like he is purgering him or herself very much.
