Question
Hello!!!!I would like to ask you what kind of documents i need for my dog to travel from USA to Russia.
What should i do when i will arrive to Moscow?Somebody told me i am gonna have to see russian vet at the airport.
And...for re-entry USA am I gonna have to see russian vet to get a health certificate?thank you very much

Answer
APHIS 7001 international health cert issued within 10 days of flight
and endorsed by usda.  Rabies vac at least 30 days old and less than
1 yr.  Highly recommend microchip and total current on ALL vacs.
I do not know about a Russian vet at the airport.  Airline should be
able to advise.  If you have proper paperwork for yourself and dog
should be no problem.  Yes, you should get new h.c. upon leaving
Russia.
What route are you taking?  I understand some EU countries are
requiring EU form 998 even for just transits, so at this time I
would recommend getting one: in English and the language of country
you are transiting.  Also, endorsed by usda.
