Service Dog

Question
I am contacting you in hopes of gaining information for one of my clients traveling to Abu Dhabi for an extended stay.
I hope you can help me, help my client.
If you will, can you give me as much information as possible on the regulations, laws and steps that need be taken for my client
to travel her Service Dog to Abu Dhabi with her in the passenger cabin.
Documentation required at port of entry, is there a quarantine, will it pose a problem if she travels in stages, Atlanta/London/Abu Dhabi,
or would you recommend a non-stop?
Is there a quarantine requirement, if there is will the dog be held at the port of entry?
Any help you can provide will be deeply appreciated.

Answer
Dear Jake
Hope this will help.
Normally, UAE will ONLY allow pets to enter as Cargo, NOT excess
baggage.  Whether they would make an exception for a service dog, I
do not know.... Highly recommend you contact American Veterinary
Clinic for all requirements for entry into Abu Dhabi.
Contact Mohd Mustafa or Natalie at: www.avcclinic.com
pro@avcclinic.com    I have worked many times with them.
Dog will need microchip, rabies vac at least 30 days old and less
than one year.  Also, APHIS 7001 international health cert issued
within 10 days of travel and endorsed by usda.  Also, import permit.
I do not know if there is a direct flight from ATL. I would
recommend Lufthansa via Frankfurt.  Maybe KLM or Air France as well
These carriers, as far as I know, would allow service dog in cabin
at least as far as Europe.
UK will NOT allow pet in cabin.  They are thinking of allowing
service dogs in cabin but think they will require to meet ALL
requirements for entry into UK, including all above, but also
blood titre tests, and a 6 month wait.
I know American Vet can address all these issues much better than I
Keep me posted.  If I can help further, please advise
Best regards,  Jerry Mishler

Be sure to let me know if you get this.  Think there might have been
a problem sending it to you
