FLYING WITH CAT DUBAI TO MALAYSIA

Question
Hi
I am living in Dubai and soon will be moving to Malaysia and am taking my cat along. My cat is 7 years old and she has been microchipped. We're thinking of flying Emirates.  I understand there are 2 options - she flies as an excess baggage or as a cargo. Which is the better option or is there an even better way of transporting her across? Also, what are the rules once in KLIA (Malaysia airport)? Will she be quarantined for 7 days? Is there an agent in Malaysia who can sort out the paperwork for her clearance etc? Once in KLIA, I will stay in a hotel for a few days until she is free from quarantine. So many qustions but if you know an agent who can sort out my cat's arrival etc until it's time for me to bring her to our new home, that would be really great.  Thanks in advance.

Answer
Dear Tas
There are two firms in Dubai that I would recommend contacting:
www.dkc.ae      and   www.dubaidoghouse.com   Both will be very
helpful
There is one firm in Malaysia:  dawnps@pc.jaring.my   Sorry no website
These firms can do a much better job of addressing your questions than can some 3rd party shipper in USA or elsewhere
Let me know how this works out for you
