QuestionQUESTION: We are PCSing to Osan in December and I'm trying to find out about shipping a large dog(approx 120lbs). All Delta told me is that it's a flat rate of $550 for them to ship him.Could you tell me what other fees I should expect to pay? And do they have a quarantine period or would we get to take him soon after landing? I've never shipped an animal so have no idea what to expect. Thanks for any help.

Your dog will certainly require at least the # 700 giant kennel.
Is this correct? Who did you speak with at Delta? Passenger
reservation people to take dog as excess baggage; or to cargo?
Seems like a very low price as cargo.....
Korea requires: aphis 7001 international health cert issued within
10 days of travel and endorsed by usda. If you go to a military vet
then they use a mil h.c. and does not need to go to usda. Also need
rabies vac at least 30 days old and less than 1 yr
My understanding is there may be up to a 10 day quarantine. Most of
this can be done at the USFK quarantine facility at Yongsan

I've not used DL on this run. I always use Korean Air from Dulles.

QUESTION: Im not sure who I talked to at Delta. I just told them I wanted to ship my pet on the same flight as us. I think he said something about the dog being extra baggage. Yes he will be in that giant kennel. Does Korea charge a customs fee or anything that you know of?Thanks!

as cargo ?????? MUCH more expensive.
I don't know about customs fees. Your sponsor should know.....
The airline makes MUCH more money when pet goes as cargo......
