Question
My husband (who is in the Army) and I are being sent to Italy within the next month.. And I have searched everywhere on all the rules for taking our pup into Italy with us, but its so confusing, one site says one thing, another says another. My question is.. My pup will be 3 months old on August the, and we are expected to leave July 1st as far as we know. I have no one to leave him here with.. an don't want to leave him behind anyway. We were told we were going to Kentucky is the only reason that we decided to get him.. Will I be able to take him with me? I have already set up an appointment with the vet to get a microchip, full check up, and international health certificate. But he wont be old enough to get his 12 week shots or his rabies vaccination.. Is there any way around any of this? I mean.. as soon as we get there we will find an on-base vet and get him those shots as soon as he is old enough. Please help!!

Answer
The best I can do is refer you to the pet shipper in Italy that I
work with.   www.relocat.it      in-fo@relocat.it
They will be able to advise you.  Some EU countries will let a pup
in that is too young for rabies vac.  Others will not.
This firm will be very honest with you.
Where are you now?  Let me know if I can help with actual shipping.
If you can, do take pup with you as excess baggage.
