relocating to US from UK with cat

Question
Greetings,

I have read all over this site that the UK does not permit the transport of warm blooded animals through it's country.

My domestic, indoor cat moved here under the PETS program in November of 2008.  I now need to move back to America, and and finding it difficult to find an airline that will take my cat through London and back to Raleigh, NC.  I understand that all I need do is take her to a vet 10 days prior to departure to boost her rabies vaccine and get a clean bill of health.  What I'm having trouble with is finding the best route to take so my cat can travel on the same flights as I am.  All sites, including American Airlines, say that I cannot take my warm blooded animal through the UK.  The only way I can return to the USA is to go through Jersey Uk airport, then a London airport, then back to RDU in America.  Any advice you could give me would be most appreciated.  Thanks in advance!

Answer
Where in the world did you get such nonsense as this?  Of course
you can take a pet to and thru UK.  I just don't understand where
people get such ideas???
Are you in Jersey now?  You do not make clear where you are....
Your best choice of airlines may be Delta via ATL to RDU
You might have a problem taking cat into cabin if this is what you
want to do.  You must get this info from the airline, direct.
Otherwise, as excess baggage.
I would need more specific info in order to help you.
