Rescue a Cat

I am currently on vacation in Turkey and have "adopted" a stray kitten.  While it seems malnourished I am trying to get it to a vet while here.  It is possible to adopt this animal and ship it back to the US if it is deemed healthy and has its shots?  WHat would the procedure be in such a case?  Thank you for any help you can give me.

Cat needs health cert issued within 10 days of travel and a valid rabies vac. To enter USA
You need to check with your airline about bringing as excess baggage (not in the cabin)
Otherwise, everything else is between you and your vet
