Question
my husband is in the u.s. army and we just found out were being stationed in italy.  we have two dogs one is a five year old beagle the other is a sevent month old italian greyhound. we also have a 4 month old dutch rabbits.  we would like to bring our pets with us but are not exactly sure how to go about it.  i have heard about them needing to be micro chipped and have rabies shots. both of the dogs have those things but im unsure about paper work and about what i need to do for the rabbit.

Answer
The dogs need: microchip   rabies vacs at least 30 days old and less than 1 yr
APHIS 7001 international health cert issued within 10 days of travel and endorsed by usda
(if you have access to mil vet, then they have their own h.c. and do not need to be endorsed by
usda)  Also, EU form 998  English-Italian, and also endorsed by usda, unless mil vet issued.
