QuestionDear Jerry, I've seen you help so many people with advice. Pls help me with any advice you may have.
I will be going to the USA with my 4year old Pug on a immigrant visa. I need to go from Mumbai to Kentucky. Pls help me out with the best pet friendly airline which allow pets in passenger cabins. I've read some answers here about what papers i need. I have asked my vet to issue us a health certificate 10days prior to departure as well as to start vaccination him with all required necessities.
I just wanted to be sure that there wont be a problem if i take my dog to the USA forever. I hope those 2 things - vaccinations & health certificate will suffice. Pls suggest if Im missing anything. Also, where will they check my dog's health & papers ? at the first POE ( mostly newark) or at my final port of entry (kentucky) ? wanted to know this Because i didnt want to miss any connecting flights if they take too much time at Newark itself.

AnswerAll the airlines are pet friendly. You must check the airlines there in India as to who will
allow the pet in the cabin. Lufthansa might be your best bet. They would get you to Dulles or
Atlanta, which would be the closest to KY. They check the papers at the first POE. Why would
you go to Newark? Just the health cert and rabies vac is all that is necessary
