koi pond vacuums

Question
Brigitte, is it safe to use "D-Solve" in my pond with the koi fish?  It sounds like a good product and I have that green slimy stuff hanging from my waterfall and attaching to rocks.  If you have a better product let me know....thanks, deborah

I would like to purchase a vacuum for my koi pond for under a $100.  Can you suggest one?  My pond is approximately 3500 gallons.  I am not sure what I should purchase. Nor do I know anything about actually vaccuming the pond...  so any comments or suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated.  I "inherited" this pond through the purchase of the property it is on.  I love it, but I do not know yet how to totally care for it...I am learning as I go....thanks for your time....deborah

There are several different kinds of vacs available for ponds, but I am afraid it is not as simple as vacuuming your living room due to the conditions in the pond.
There are vacs to take care of leaves, and some to take care of sludge. There are manually operated ones and some that are powered by your garden hose and even electric ones.
All but the electric one cost less than $ 100.
We carry 4 or 5 different ones and each one does a different thing well. None do everything well.
I wish I could give you better news, but I'd rather tell you honestly the way it is.

D-solve does indeed work great on that stuff. The only precaution with it is that you do not want to get it on your plants undiluted. Once it is diluted it does not hurt them, but if you get the product on them undiluted it will kill them, too.
