i live in a area that will not allow us to dig large hole to put a pond liner in it so my idea is to bulid it in my carport on a concrete slab we only have one car and want inlarge our two carport screen porch around this pond my question is can it be bulit on this carport and how i would support it so it dose not all fall apart when i put in soil and water i want to use it for my carnivous plants and have a water fall on one end would bricks work like paveing bricks ?

You can make an above ground pond.  Some people make a cement wall with mortar which is then lined with a pond liner.  Others make a 2 x 4 wooden frame for the pond and line that.  I don't have any personal experience with above ground ponds but it certainly can be done and many have done it.  It's not a great idea to put dirt right into a pond as it will be very hard to manage and clean.  Good luck!
