Question
I am building a pond 8 ft by 16 ft. The landscape is sloped so the waterfall will fall nice. I have built 3 levels of fieldsstone walls and would like to cascade the waterfall over the walls. Shouls I use underlayment or carpet over the field stone to avoid tearing the liner? The fieldstone walss are about 2 ft in height.

Answer
Hi There!

Use the underlayment. It's always good to prevent...
Carpet would decay and probably contaminate the water.
If you intend to have any fish there, it wouldn't be a good idea. Make sure that everything is properly sealed.
You do not want any water running under the stones.

Godd luck with your project!
