Goldfish Types

I recently moved to a house with a goldfish pond. Documents from the original owner indicate it is about 700 gallons. After doing some reading and looking at photos, I've decided the fish are goldfish (not koi), but I'm not sure what type. They are more elongated than most goldfish I've seen. I think they may be comets. They have long (alost as long as the body) split tails. The thing that puzzles me is that many of them are black (definitely not black moores). Some are orange with black and a couple are white with orange, black, yellow markings. They range in size from 2 that look to be about 5-7" long (with tail) to small ones (that I assume bred naturally from the other fish) that are about one inch. So, are there black goldfish?  I could send a photo if that's possible. My next question is about a frog that lives in the pond.

A photo would certainly help.  If there's a single tail (not sure what you mean by split, horizontal or vertical), then the fish with such long fins would be comets as you've guessed.  Goldfish can be black.  All goldfish start out black and then slowly change color.  Some never change.  I had one grow to about 8" before deciding to turn orange.  I can tell you more if you can get some clear photos.  Good luck!
