Question
in my pond we have gravel in the shallow.we baught a tadpole and we used gravel from the pond to put in the tank and A LOT of tiny red worm things came out that wiggle alot.should i take out the tadpole? what should i do robyn?

Answer
They are most likely bloodworms or other midge larvae or perhaps caddisfly larvae.  Bloodworms are the larvae of midges which are tiny fly-like insects.  They will not harm the tadpole.  They will eventually pupate into adults so you may not want the little gnats flying around your house.  Fish love to eat bloodworms and other insect larvae.  I suggest putting the tadpole into some fresh pond water without gravel or hitchhiking insect larvae.  Good luck!
