goldfish scales missing

HI, I have a pond with goldfish and this year they have had over 300 babies. Now one of my original fish is losing all its scales. At first only a few and now it is pretty well all white with very few orange scales left. What should I do?

Hi Jame,
Thanx for your question.  Your fish spawned this year which can be a violent affair for them and cause scale loss.  There is also a disease called myxosporidiosis that could be causing this.  I posted a link below for more information.  I hope this helps.
