comet suddenly died, need advice

have a 6'x4'x2'pond with 6 comets ranging in size from 3-6 inches long.  have had them about 3 weeks. found one dead this am, no signs of trauma or illness. she is white/yellow.  removed her, and put some melafix in the water as a precautionary measure.  any other advice? my white ones are always the first to go...

Hi Ellen,

It is always good when buying new fish to keep them in quarentine for a few days.
It also good to make sure that the water temperature is the same.

Besides melafix a salt bath could be given to them, but I would wait a couple of weeks before doing that.
