My baby turtle doesnt seem to eat

I just got this little baby turtle this past weekend and since I have had it, it doesnt seem to want to eat.. i thought maybe put some sugar in the water to reaize that food is good... so could that work?

Sadly, turtles cannot digest sugar.

I am assuming this is a Red-ear slider. If so, then the best starter food would be a high-quality (read as 'expensive') turtle pellet supplemented with blood worms from a good pet shop's 'live fish food' area.

Be aware that it might not eat for a few days, and it will not eat if the housing, temps, etc. are not right for it. Especially this time of year- good lighting and temp control is what keeps it from trying to hibernate.
