Question
Hiye, i was wondering, how do red eared sliders recieve uvb rays or sunlight in the winter in Florida or other places. Does my res need uvb in the winter? Thanks for all your help.

Answer
I'm not sure I understand your question. If the sun shines and they are out, they will get UVB. RES' can handle some colder temps and if the winter is mild in Florida they may be out. If it is a northern part of Florida they may be in hibernation. But it doesn't really matter. If you have a captive RES turtle that is not hibernating, then it needs UVB.
