Question
I recieved a Map turtle thats just about 3 1/2 inches in shell lengh and have a 10 gallen tank for the baby. I have a filter, heater, light, and a floating cork log for it to bask on. Then I bought a friend a 6 inch red eared slider. This tank set up it tempary till a bigger one can be purchased but how long can I have the two of them in there together? They get along great. I have been feeding them dried shrimp, turtle pellets, sometimes fruit and fresh meet. Latley the larger turtle has been sitting on the floating log more often when before he would jump off when I would walk aroung the tank now inless I get withen a few inches of him it wont move. Could the turtle be ill or is it getting used to me moving around my house? I have had both turtles since October.

Answer
The turtle is just getting used to you, but they are pretty crowded in there and it is probably very stressful to the smaller Map.
