Hello,
I wanted to ask if my red eared slider and my Mississippi map turtle needed a basking light,if they do how many watts does it has to be and if i can have them together in the same tank..thank you

Basking light: Whatever wattage or distance it takes to warm the basking site to about 90 degrees F. I am hoping that this is not the water heater as well since the water should be kept at about 75-80F- usually with a decent aquarium water heater.

Housing together: As long as both have plenty of space, they should be OK. Turtles are not social animals and need space to move in without bumping other turtles. Figure about 10 gallons of water per inch of shell length total.
