Question
I have two red ear slider turtles are a year old w/ 27 gal tank, basket, water filter, rock, light and plastic plants. Heard there a weekend food for turtles while you gone for few days or a week. I can't find it and where to get the those like the fishs have vacation or weekend food while you gone. Pet store said get alot of guppies while I gone the turtles will be alright. Wrong I brought 9 guppies one of my turtles ate 7 guppies in a day. That too much to eat in one day. One is the size of a soap and other is size of a .50 cent. The small one sleep in basket during the winter time other never does and the room temp plus water is around 75 degree.

Answer
Your turtles will be perfectly OK for up to about a week without food if they are otherwise healthy and well-cared for. We generally overfeed them anyway- reptiles do not need anywhere near as much food as we mammals do.

You can over-feed them a bit if you want to prep them for the weekend, but it really is not necessary.

The weekend feeders you have heard of are pretty much a waste of money and a good way to mess up the tank.

Other than the tank being a bit small for two growing turtles, everything else sounds pretty good here!
