terrapin not eating

Hi. I have recently gotten a yellow bellied terrapin. The person I got him off couldn't look after him any more. He was eating fine when I got him and his eyes are clear and back feet push you away touched. I checked all this before I took him. He's about 6 months old. I have a water heater and temp. is 28 degrees Celsius. also have filter and sun lamp 50watt. but for the last day and half he's stopped eating... Does he need a vet or is there something i can do?? Would really hate to lose him!!

1. A day and a half is nothing! If healthy, these guys can go a month without food and be OK.

2. What are you trying to feed it? That is the big question you do not touch on.

3. Stress could be an issue. They often do not eat for a week after a big change, big move, new home, etc.
