found a turtle in the yard

i found a turtle in the yard i currently have a box turtle i am not sure what kind of turtle it is that i found so i have them seperate can you please tell me what kind of turtle i have on his head he has yellow and orange spots his feet have orange spots on his tail there is a yellow spot to me it favors a box turtle but the back of his shell is jagged it also eats worms can you please help i would really appreciate it

Box Turtles are variable, and it sounds most like a Box Turtle- but you may want to check the local laws- in most of the US it is illegal to keep wild Box Turtles as pets, even if found in your yard.
