How long should keep the day light and the UV light on?

Hi Carolyn, UV should be on an average of 12 hours a day every day. Some people during winter keep the lights on 10-12 hours and during summer 12-14 hours. But this can cause them to brumate during winter (similar to hibernate) and that is stressful and dangerous. So average 12 hours of day light.
