yellow footed turtle

I have had my yellow footed turtle for about a month, but I
never see him drink.  How do i get him to drink water?

Hello Debra, many reptiles such as the Yellow Foot will not drink out of standing water... it needs to be more natural.
Like drinking from a fresh creek or from a mud puddle. Make sense?

Take a misting spray bottle and mist the enclosure.
(not sure if your housing him inside or outside) but sides of a glass tank, decor and plants in the enclosure all should be misted to give him water droplets to drink up.

They also intake some water from the food they eat. They still need to be offered fresh water but he may not need it right yet either.
