What is my turtle??

QUESTION: I have a turtle that is small, has a dark brown and tannish shell, and doesn't have webbed feet and my cousin got it at the lake, what kind do you think it could be??

ANSWER: can you send a picture? it is hard to tell
possibly a box turtle or ornate

QUESTION: ummm... i dont know how to do that. What is the diffrence between those two turtles?

ANSWER: If you go to google, put the name in and hit images, this will assist you to see the shells to help ID the turtle. If you do not id him that way, then go to google
in the search bar describe the turtle and your location.

QUESTION: ok im pretty sure its a box turtle. so what do they eat an how can i make it comfortable??

you have to check to see if you legally can keep it as in some states it is illegal.
I am a firm believer in leaving it to nature but I have the impression youre keeping him.

Next is for you to get a set up for him. If indoors you can use a book shelf on the back and place substrate
add the lights and heat then add him.
