Turtle!!!

Question
I have a red eared slider(2inches) Is it fine if I keep him in a rectangular
bucket or do I have to keep him in a tank?

HELLO  sorry it took me so long to respond my computer was down,
If your turtle can swim around, get out of the water and bask nad is given the proper lights and temps then that should be ok, If he is 2 inches then 6 inches of water is needed and a basking area. are you providing uvb  lights and heat and filtration?
