Snake keeps spitting up his Food

Question
I have a king snake about 3 feet long and I have been feeding him 6 fuzzies at every feeding since I got him, but last month when I fed him he spit up all the mice but one, so I was told to wait a month before feeding again, so yesterday I fed him again the 6 fuzzies, today I noticed he spit up 4 of the 6 fuzzies. Why is my snake beginning to spit up his food? Should I have him checked out. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

Answer
Hi Terence,
Couple of things. That is an awful lot of food for one snake. When you say fuzzies, that can mean a lot of different sizes of mice / rats. You might want to consider feeding him 1 mouse / rat equal to the biggest part of his body (in girth). Regarding the vomiting, yes, this could be serious. The good news is that your snake is pretty big and is not prone to getting a lot of the infections a smaller snake might. I would take him to a vet and make sure he does not have a bacterial infection or a parasite.
