Question
hi again, i just have another question, online i have read about many people turning the egg so the embryo is on the top of the egg..but i also here that you can't rotate the egg or it will die.. should i be turning the eggs once they are laid?

Answer
Well, it was theorized that if you turn a reptile egg, the embryo might suffocate, since it's designed to adhere to one point within the egg during development, and most reptile eggs are not moved once they're laid.

Over time, this caution was repeated, and now people believe it is a fact.

However, a couple of individuals have fairly recently tested this by turning eggs at various points during incubation (including turning them once a day).

No significant change in hatch rates resulted from it.  So, the truth is that reptile eggs are more resilient than we gave them credit for.

While you shouldn't deliberately turn the eggs, you also don't need to panic over whether it might have happened accidentally.  Chances are, they'll be fine either way.
