frist litter

  hi david,
our mother rabbit is about 6months old and she had her first litter of babies yesterday. will she be able to produce milk for them at this age and how do we know if they are getting enough? should we supplement a little bit?please write back as soon as possible.there are 8 babies.

hi rosie- yes she will be able to feed them , just give her a little bit more food than normal,please be patient dont try and see the babies for at least 2 days she will look after them, after 2 days take the doe out(give her a titbit)look in the nest to see if all ok , if any dead young remove them, cover them back up and place the doe back with them, carry on as usual.
