Why are my bunnies fighting?

Question
I have two female polish dwarf rabbits (one is 4 months old and the other is 2 months old) who have been friends for months now.  However just today they went at each other really bad.  They were  rolling around biting and pulling each others fur out.  They have never fought once before and they even share a cage, What would make them fight like that, and what could i do to help them be freinds again?
Thank you for your help
Chrissy

Answer
Has the older rabbit been spayed? Young rabbits who are just hitting their sexual maturity will fight just because of hormones, and will continue to do so until spayed.

Or, they just decided they didn't like each other suddently and fought.

You might want to go to this article http://www.rabbit.org/faq/sections/introductions.html and read it and some of the related articles at the top of the page.

It may take time to get them to like each other again, but when they are 4-6 months old, they will have to be spayed before you try to put them back together because they will continue to fight.
