Question
Hi there, I found a rabbit in an industrial estate at work, reported it to the sspca but no one has claimed it. He/she is quite friendly, comes up to me and has jumped onto my knee! But a couple of times it has bit me, not bad but not sure why its doing that. It has got lots of space to move around at the moment. 2nite it seems to be on a mad trip, running round and digging lots of holes! Havent decided if can keep it yet but will obviously need to get it checked by a vet if I do. Can you give me some advice? Also its about medium size black with white paws. Any idea what kind? Oh and how do I tell if its a boy or girl?

Answer
Hi Sarah,

i think he may have bit you cause he might have smelt food on your hand or he may have just been abit scared or he was playing and he doesnt mean to hurt you.Your rabbit may be running around cause he is happy and the same with digging holes.
But yes if you decide to keep him you must take him to the vets to get him checked up.I think your rabbit may be a Californian Rabbit but im not so sure.If you go to your local Libary or pet shop they might have books which might help you more. But you can also buy books which also tell you how to find out if your rabbit is a girl or a boy.
I hope this helps and good luck from Natasha.
