Question
I just got a new bunnie on thursday, I beleive he is a month old. Well Any how, he peed on me today, and mopped it up with a paper towel, on his feet the pee turned orange (hes a white bunny)and then i looked on the paper towel and the dryied pee was orange too?> Is there something wrong with him. He also does have a runny poo, I had him in a towel, and when i took him out there were lots of firm poos, but there were some ver very soft poo, and some of it was stuck to his bum, I have only feed him a little, grass and his dry pellets, what do you think is causeing this. Is it normal for a bunny to eat his poo. Well I hope you can help
Thanks A bunch

Answer
A good resource for you to read would be http://www.rabbit.org/care/new-bunny-index.html

The urine color may be normal, you would have to watch him, but there is an article that talks about colored urine at http://www.rabbit.org/journal/3-1/red-urine.html

The soft poo you are talking about may be cecal pellets, which are discussed at http://www.rabbit.org/chapters/san-diego/diet/cecals.html and yes, it is normal for rabbits to ingest these.

If there is no form to them, though, that would be diarrhea, which is very serious in young rabbits and would require a trip to a rabbit-knowledgeable veterinarian to treat him.

Many vets will try to give you amoxicillan for rabbits.  Do not give this to your rabbit, it is usually fatal.  However, sulfa is generally safe.

I hope this helps you out.
